After morning breakfast, doing the Colombo city tour and city shopping.

After morning breakfast, transfer to Sigiriya and enroute visit the beautiful landscape / rice fields and pass the royal capital of Kurunegala.

Sigiriya rock fortress: called by many names including “ the lion rock “ for its initial name of “sinhagiri”, Sigiriya is near the town of Dambulla and is a colossal column of rock nearly 200m high. It was a royal citadel for 18 years (477-495) when it was fortified by king kasyapa. The architectural and irrigational technologies of Sigiriya, such as the water gardens, still baffle engineers. The climb up steep steps of metal with railings passes a wall decorated with frescoes of bare-breasted women. Art experts consider them unique.

SIGIRIYA – ANURADHAPURA – SIGIRIYA

After morning breakfast, transfer to Anuradhapura and visit the Anuradhapura ancient city.

It is the capital city of north central province, Sri Lanka and the capital of Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well- preserved ruins of an ancient sir Lankan civilization. It was the third capital of the kingdom of Rajarata, following the kingdoms of tambapanni and upatissa Nuwara

After breakfast, transfer to Kandy railway station to board train to Nuwara eliya.

Proceed to Nuwara eliya by train, train journeys are real cultural experiences, and the most scenic routes.

Will be highlights of your visit- in particular the wonderful journey from Nuwara eliya to Ella which will travel through manmade tunnels, beautiful mountains and tea plantations in the hill country. The scenery from the train is breathtaking. Like a green carpet of tea bushes rolling by, with colorful sari-dressed tea pickers popping out of the sea of green.
